- Give your new home a quick inspection. Look for any signs of damage that weren’t there when you visited with your realtor. Make sure you know where the fuse box and water stop valve are. Test smoke detectors and make sure windows are locked.
- Start unpacking boxes. It’s tempting to take your time unpacking. There aren’t any deadlines like there were when you were moving out. But the quicker you start, the quicker you’ll finish. Tackle the bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen first.
